Master Gardener Program Overview

Do you love to garden? Do you love to help out your community? Want to be a Master Gardener?

Colorado State University and Park County Extension will be offering Master Gardener classes starting January 2019. Classes will be held on Wednesdays on the Front Range (Jefferson County Fairgrounds, or Denver Botanic Gardens) or on Thursdays at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.

What is a Colorado Master Gardener?

Colorado Master Gardener Volunteers assist CSU Extension staff in delivering knowledge-based home gardening information to the Park County residence.

The Colorado Master Gardener (CMG), audience is exclusively home and community gardeners. CMG volunteers serve the residence by answering questions from citizens of Park County about home gardening, staffing diagnostic clinics, teaching gardening classes, writing newspaper articles, and mentoring gardening and community development projects.

We invite you to be one of the founding members of the Park County Master Gardener program!!

Annually, 1,400 CMG volunteers, state-wide, serve 35 county-based programs and contribute over $1.3 million in volunteer time!
