Park County Livestock Committee Catch an Animal Program

Each year at the Park County Fair the Park County Livestock Committee (PCLC) provides the youth of Park County the opportunity to win an animal that has been donated by generous sponsors from the community. The winners then must join their local 4-H club and show that animal at the following years fair.

“The Park County Livestock Committee exists to promote the education and interest of the livestock industry for the youth of Park County. To create, manage, and promote a successful junior Livestock Auction at the County Fair. To manage and promote a successful “Catch an Animal” program which brings together the youth of Park County and its citizens and businesses. To promote and implement any educational programs that the committee deems appropriate. To cooperate with different Park County entities in the safety and maintenance of facilities related to the Livestock Industry.

To accomplish our goals through the positive volunteer efforts of Park County citizens interested in the above mission statement.”

All winners of the Catch an Animal Program are to be familiar with the Catch an Animal rules and understand the catch an animal requirements and estimated costs associated with each animal.  Application: Catch-An Animal (google.com)

All winners of the Catch an Animal Program are to attend a MANDATORY meeting on the third Monday of October at the Shawnee Community Center at 6:00pm. Any winner who does not attend this meeting will forfeit their animal.
